Tournament
favourites, Brazil, on Tuesday beat South Korea 3-0 in one of the semi finals
of the men's football event at the
London 2012 Olympic Games played at Old Trafford.
Forward Leandro Damiao scored a second half brace to take
his goal tally to six and thus become the tournament top scorer, after a 38th minute
opener by Ramulo before 69,389 spectators.
The South Americans will now battle Mexico at Wembly Stadium
on Saturday after the latter dismissed Japan 3-1 in the first semi final.
The five time world champions are yet to win the Olympic
gold in history, winning two silvers in 1984 and 1988 and two bronze medals in
1996 and 2008.
With the quality of names they have on parade, can the Mano
Menezes' young side who are expected to form the backbone of the team at the
2014 World Cup in Brazil finally break the jinx?
