Harry Reddknapp Poised to Unseat Trappatoni for Republic of Ireland Job

Despite Ireland Republic’s 4-1 drubbing of Faroes Tuesday night, underfire manager, Giovanni Trapattoni is still facing plans to oust him, although he insisted there’s “no problem”.

Former Tottenham manager, Harry Reddknapp has emerged the possible replacement for the Italian. Close sources reveal that the English man is gunning for a four-year contract as underground negotiation continues with the FAI.

Trappatoni had to cancel this morning’s traditional post-match conference which suggests that his future is now hanging in the balance, though he said he was going to Italy to see his sick sister.

Rep Ireland faces Greece in a friendly on November 14, 2012.
